Autumn Show 2025 Report
The Village Hall was all aglow
As Autumn colours filled the show.
Judging here’s a tender art
Not just measure, weight or chart.
John Negus’s judging’s very fair
He gives awards with thought and care.
Apples shone with Autumn pride
He turned each one -a bruise to hide?
Chrysanthemums glowed in every size
Jane Harrap’s pom poms won the prize.
Roses blazed like Autumn flames
Prizes were won by Jenny and James.
Domestic goddess Julie Southern
Baked the winners in her oven.
The Floral art was quite a sight
Vivienne won with ‘Cook’s Delight’
All the fruits of Autumns store
Gleamed on Brenda’s miniature.
When voting slips were added up
Rosemary won the creative cup.
Husband Geoff, our inspiration
Took a prize in every section.
A photo finish by one tick
Gave the picture prize to Nick.
With twisted stalk and orange glow
Katie’s pumpkin stole the show!
With Jenny, Gill and Barbara pouring
Tea and cakes kept us going!
The Annible’s won in every field
George took home the Family Shield
Lizzie made it all add up
And Geoff presented every cup.
Thank you entrants one and all
Your contributions filled the hall
With such a brilliant display
We all enjoyed a fruitful day.
